Institutional visit of the Catalan Minister for Research and Universities to IGTP to learn about its research and innovation projects in health

Núria Montserrat, Minister for Research and Universities, visited the CMCiB. The aim of the visit was to gain first-hand insight into the scientific and technological projects carried out in fields such as bioimaging, experimental surgery, and the validation of new medical devices and therapies. Additionally, the visit provided an opportunity to further explore IGTP's impact on translational research and its contribution to health innovation.

Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital, Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute, and Digital Health Hub collaborate to boost innovation transfer in the healthcare sector

Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital (HUGTIP), Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), and the Digital Health Hub have signed an agreement to promote technological innovation and its transfer to the healthcare sector. It aims to leverage the synergies between the three entities to create a solid collaboration network that facilitates the exchange of knowledge and technology, streamlines the use of available resources, develops innovation projects, accelerates the validation of technological solutions and promotes joint research and training activities.

Once again, the names of around thirty renowned professionals - from the Hospital and the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), the Fight Infections Foundation, IrsiCaixa, the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC), and the Institut Català d'Oncologia (ICO) - appear on a global list of scientists who have achieved the highest impact through their publications and citations.

Jordi Barretina, director of the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), and Júlia Garcia, scientific director, participated in The Gate Pro sessions at The Gate festival, organised by the Èpica Foundation of La Fura dels Baus, held on 28 and 29 October at its venue at the Port of Badalona. The event brought together experts from diverse fields, including supercomputing, philosophy, and health research, to discuss key topics like health, education, and technology.
