In the first episode, "La tuberculosi: la pandèmia dels pobres" (Tuberculosis: the pandemic of the poor), researcher José Domínguez explains the basics of the disease and the current situation of research. This podcast is a way for the centre to reach a wide audience, thanks to a short and dynamic storytelling format.
To commemorate International Women's Day, we asked four questions to different profiles of IGTP researchers to find out about the difficulties they have encountered as women scientists and how they see the future: Dr Carolina Armengol, leader of the consolidated Childhood Liver Oncology Research Group (c-LOG), Dr Raquel Guillamat, junior leader of the emerging group Translational Research in Pulmonary Immunity, and PhD student Daina Martínez from the ICREC laboratory of Cardiology Research.
To celebrate the Day of Women and Girls in Science on 11 February the Can Ruti Working Group Women in Science (WiS) today held its 5th symposium focussed on Integrating Intersectionality and Gender Perspective in Research, hosted by the IGTP.
The workshop "Advances in Translational Research through EATRIS", organized by the IGTP took place this week and provided a space for researchers to discuss the role of EATRIS as a European infrastructure of translational research.
The of Fundación Épica of La Fura dels Baus Project, in collaboration with the Institut Germans Trias i Pujol and the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology will take place from 11-24 July at the old CACI factory in Badalona.
The Fundació Clínic and the Germans Trias I Pujol Research Institute have signed a framework agreement to provide access to researchers from the Clínic-IDIBAPs to the services of the Centre for Comparative Medicine and Bioimage of Catalonia (IGTP-CMCiB).

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) has participated in a ground-breaking event to bring art and science together for European Performing Science Night with results that left nobody indifferent. The Fundació Èpica la Fura dels Baus led the project which involved artists and scientists from the IGTP and four international universities.
An International consortium discovers various genetic markers associated with infection by SARS-CoV-2 and the severity of covid-19. The IGTP forms part of the consortium with the GCAT|Genomes for Life Project, a population cohort of 20,000 people from across Catalonia. The GCAT has contributed the analyzed data of 5,000 participants to the study
