The event will take place on 20 October and will provide an opportunity for healthcare professionals and researchers from the Can Ruti campus and beyond to learn more about the EATRIS infrastructure and its position within AI-driven biomarker research.

As in previous years, the event will feature the participation and representation of the European infrastructure EATRIS (European Infrastructure for Translational Medicine) and its Spanish national node.

We will also welcome a talk by Dr Alain Van Gool, Chair of the EATRIS Biomarker Platform, member of the EATRIS Digital Biomarkers Working Group and researcher at Radboud UMC in the Netherlands, who will set the thematic focus of the event.

Finally, we will hold a round-table discussion with researchers from the campus working on biomarkers and AI, Dr Victoria Delgado, Dr Gemma Monté and Dr Sílvia Bonàs, who will share the challenges and perspectives associated with this technology. We will also have a session in which the IGTP Innovation team will present the HTA service and its collaborative work with the EATRIS Expert Centres.

Objectives of the event:

• Introduce EATRIS and its strategic role in European translational biomedical research, highlighting opportunities for IGTP researchers.
• Explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and biomarker research, showing how digital tools are transforming biomedical and clinical research.
• Present current and emerging projects at IGTP that integrate AI, digital biomarkers and precision medicine.
